Makeup Monday 2

img_0610This season, dark, bold and over-the-top smokey eyes were all the rage. The style was smudgy, pigmented and at times glossy.  Needless to say, I HAD to try this as one of my Makeup Mondays.

With a look this bold, Stefania opted for a pretty natural base. I asked to ramp up the glam factor with glossy lids, so we made sure that my foundation was matte, and that my lips were understated.

To create this eye style we really just had fun with it! Mixing between applying with a thin brush and using fingers we packed on gel liner until we got an outline we were happy with. Then to set the gel a bit we added black glitter eyeshadow which shined beautifully under some clear lip gloss.  Although this look might feel a bit editorial, there are definitely aspects that I would wear for a girls night.
