Makeup Monday

img_9973Happy Makeup Monday people! This year, I was fortunate enough to attend a lot of great shows for Fashion Week in NYC, and while I was not able to take home all the gorgeous designs, I definitely took home all the fashion and beauty inspiration.

For this series of Makeup Mondays, I worked with AMAZE-ING makeup artist Stefania Santoli to recreate some of our most inspired makeup looks. For this look in particular, Stefania tied inspiration from two of the spring runways major makeup trends: glitter and burgundy lips.

We kept the face foundation matte since we wanted to add shimmer to my eyes and lips. Using the translucent powder, helped to keep shine away as well as keep my lipstick crisp and clean.

We added shimmer using a highlighted bronzer on my cheeks, pulling the warm burgundy and copper tones from my eyes down to my lips. Stefania gave my lids a soft wash of gold shadow and mixed in the copper pigment to add some depth.

After the liquid lipstick had dried down, Stefania also added some of the copper pigment to the center of my pout to give the illusion of added dimension.
