Why is it that on the days where we look so good, we have nowhere to go? You know those days where your hair is tame and bouncy and your skin is clear and smooth? And if you’re like me, you’re equally familiar with the opposite days where nothing seems to look right. Follow these tips for put together looks in a hurry, without sacrificing comfort.

My grandma once told me, “looking good takes the same amount of time as looking bad”. I used to disagree. It wasn’t until later that I understood exactly what she meant. It takes the same amount of time to pull on dirty sweatpants as it does to pull on leggings like these and I think we can all agree that these leather-look leggings much more polished.

By pairing these leggings with a loose fitting white t-shirt, I keep ultimate comfort without sacrificing style. Thinking about throwing on a sweatshirt? It takes the same amount of time to reach for a printed jacket instead.

On days where I’m in a rush to get ready, styling my second-day hair is not on the top of my list. Fortunately, styles like this twisted pull back are super easy to do and add a bit of volume. Here, I went a step further and added these hair rings.

Finally makeup. If I had to choose, I would say focus on mascara and lip gloss. Here I paired a bold lip with my otherwise monochrome outfit. My favorite quality of M.A.C. lipsticks is that you can take a Q-tip to the edges of your lips and wipe off the excess easily and without a bold colored mess. If time is really not on your side, say hello to your new best friend; sunglasses.
