Celebrating Spring

Hello Hello,

Things are finally starting to warm up! I couldn’t think of a better way to spend this beautiful weekend than visiting the New York Botanical Gardens. This year is the garden’s 125th anniversary and there are plenty of beautiful exhibitions to celebrate.

My boyfriend and I got tickets to see the Orchid Exhibit which was really stunning. Once you’ve entered the exhibit, it’s almost impossible to remember that you are in the middle of the Bronx. I would definitely recommend keeping an eye out for seasonal exhibits and making a visit. You really could spend all day here.

If you know me, you know I’ve been waiting for this weather for what feels like forever!  Since I knew there would be plenty of walking, I decided to start my outfit with my good ol’ Converse high tops. I paired my sneakers with this sleeveless sweater dress, that everyone needs in their closet. It is the perfect transition dress. Day to night? Check. Season to season? Double check!DSC_0421DSC_0388

I just topped off the look with my leather jacket and some fun accessories and I was done. These earrings have leather petals, come in a variety of colors and are actually very lightweight. With the bright color of both my sunglasses and earrings, I wanted to make sure my pout wasn’t too bold. I chose Buxom Bold Gel Lipstick in Sinful Cinnamon. The gel lipstick gives such a creamy payoff, that you wouldn’t expect from a matte lipstick.

Now, lets talk hair! This little braid adds some pizzazz to my pony and definitely gives off ‘spring is here!’ vibes. I sectioned my hair into three parts, and dutch braided the middle section until I reached the point where I wanted to start my pony. Simple but so fun!

  1. Heya are using WordPress for your site platform?

I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and set
up my own. Do you need any coding expertise to make your own blog?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Yes,
I use WordPress to post and publish my articles, but I use a separate hosting site so that I have my own .com site name!

      1. I took a few coding classes but was very rusty when I first began. WordPress has what is called Plugins that really make things much easier and takes care of the coding for you.

WordPress also has great customer service and they walked me through a lot of my questions when I started. I would definitely recommend it!
